I am a long time (>50 years) Davis resident. My wood turning career started about 20 years ago when I took a class at the UCD craft center. It was only until 5 years ago that I began turning again. I obtain my wood from locally fallen trees, age the wood at my home, and eventually turn it. All bowls, plates, and platters are finished in food safe oil. All vases are resin-lined and water tight. My lathe is run using solar energy. All shavings are used in our 2 acre garden to line the paths.
